Alwyn

Morrison

Hi WeCare,

I hope this finds you well today! My name is Marilyn and I wanted to reach out with an interview opportunity that feels especially timely and human.
Alwyn Morrison—NYC-based artist, former music journalist, and truly thoughtful songwriter—just released a powerful new single called Chained. It’s a sweeping pop-rock track, but beneath the melody is something much deeper: a personal reflection on what it means to be a caregiver for someone living with depression.

Alwyn has spent the last few years navigating that role, and Chained came out of those quiet, complicated moments—the ones filled with love, fatigue, self-doubt, and strength. The song explores that tension between staying for someone else and remembering to stay for yourself too. Caregiving is not something that we hear about much in music, but Alwyn is making it a point to share some of the most real, vulnerable parts of being human -- hoping he can inspire others to do the same.

We’re currently setting up interviews, and I’d love to know if you might be open to a conversation with Alwyn. He speaks beautifully about the invisible work of caregiving, how it’s shaped his art, and what it means to turn pain into something that resonates with others.

His background is pretty unique—he’s interviewed artists like Scissor Sisters and Rita Ora, and now he’s channeling that same storytelling instinct into his own music. Produced by Michael Carey (Escape the Fate, Pablo Alborán), Chained has both emotional weight and an anthemic edge—fans of The Cranberries or Counting Crows would feel right at home.

Let me know if this speaks to you—I’d be happy to coordinate something.
